Don’t despair!!! There’s still plenty of quality fishing to be had once the summer’s through. Predator fishing is exciting and is ideal to keep your fishing interest going throughout the winter months.
If you fancy your chances with a monster Pike why not pay Llyn Trawsfynydd a visit, located on the A470 road between Dolgellau and Porthmadog. We’ve heard so many exciting stories from this lake it’s got to be worth a visit! http://www.trawslake.com/
There’s also Bala lake, a great value and very beautiful fishing venue, found in the county of Gwynedd. Fishing tickets are available to buy from the machine in the main visitor centre car park.
Maelog lake in Rhosneigr, Anglesey is another lake known for good Pike in the local area. Day tickets for this lake can be purchased on the bank or from the Spar shop at the side of the road just before you get to the lake.
We offer a day ticket for £3 on Llyn Bran, a fair sized lake on the Denbigh moors. There’s also the Aled and Aled Isaf up there on the moors, tickets for these waters are available to buy from Llyn Brenig visitor centre.
Futher afield there’s bound to be plenty more winter fishing to had for Perch and Pike on the lower stretches of the river Dee, the river Severn (you might even be lucky enough to hook a Zander here) and some of the stretches of Canal in the Shropshire area.
